Bridget E. Munoz, M.S., BCBA
‘learn to learn’
Bridget Munoz is a Chicago-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2013.
Bridget began her education with disability rehabilitation services in 2010. It was through this program that she learned the importance and value of delivering services based off research and data. This led her to pursue a Masters in Behavior Analysis where she was able to study the science behind human behavior.
Her education in this field and experience working with children and adults with Autism, as well as other developmental and intellectual disabilities, has led her to implement an approach that combines both traditional and contemporary strategies in the services she delivers as a BCBA. Bridget places an emphasis on developing flexible language skills that help her learners move beyond rote responding. She structures her programming towards helping her learners to develop a skill set that allows them to be successful in navigating novel situations to the best of their abilities. Her ultimate goal is to give her clients the tools to “learn how to learn” on their own. Bridget also values collaborating with her clients’ entire therapeutic team, including their school and private providers. Working closely with outside providers helps to ensure thorough service delivery and generalization across environments.
“My goal is to assist the children I work with to ‘learn how to learn,’ and build the skills they need to learn on their own. I make every effort to combine both traditional ABA methods, and a more contemporary behavior analytic approach. I really value collaboration with a client’s entire therapeutic team: including working closely with their school, private service providers from occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech pathologists, and any other needed medical providers. We work with the teams closely because we are all here to make a positive impact on a patient's life”
