When it comes to behavioral therapy consulting for schools in Chicago, our personal approach is what sets us apart

We specialize in relationship-focused, data-driven strategies that go beyond the standard educational support outlined by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Our school-based behavioral therapy consulting services stand out due to our extensive clinical experience and our ability to integrate seamlessly into school environments through collaboration with staff and administrators. Finding a behavioral therapy consultant online can be challenging—but we’ve worked in Illinois schools for more than 10 years, applying “outside the box” methods to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes for students.

We provide a range of in-person services to Chicago schools, designed to address the unique behavioral needs of students

  • During an Individual Student Consultation, one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts will directly observe the student within their academic environment(s) for up to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the student’s needs. After the initial observation, the BCBA will develop individualized recommendations, preliminary behavioral strategies, and suggestions for moving forward. A written observation summary report including all behavior recommendations will be provided to your student’s team.

  • A Functional Behavior Assessment is conducted by a BCBA over the course of several sessions totaling 5-6 hours of direct observation. School personnel may be required to collect additional data, complete interview forms, or provide additional information to help with the assessment. A complete FBA also requires time to review collateral information, interview staff members, and gather any supplemental information necessary to determine the function of problem behavior. A written report of all recommendations will be provided to your team. Additional resources may be provided as appropriate.

  • An individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) can be developed following a full FBA to address the student’s identified problem behaviors. A BIP is provided only in conjunction with a full FBA because the BCBA must utilize the outcomes from the FBA to develop the plan. The development of the BIP based on the FBA requires additional time for completion. Our approach to your student’s BIP ensures that interventions are tailored to the student’s specific needs, with a written report provided upon completion. Your BIP report includes operationally defined behaviors for both reduction and increase, baseline data, data collection methods, and detailed intervention strategies.

  • Our classroom consultation service involves a BCBA observing the overall function of a classroom to provide recommendations for behavior management, similar to the Individual Student Consultation. These recommendations can range from general classroom strategies to student-specific interventions. The BCBA spends 2-3 hours in the classroom, depending on the complexity of the needs of the classroom and its individual students, and develops behavior recommendations. A written summary report including all recommendations will be provided to your team within three business days.

  • We have more than 20 years experience supporting schools and their administrators with direct and indirect services, including comprehensive school staff coaching. Our coaching programs start by collaborating with upper administration, ensuring that support for students and teachers extends beyond our on-site visits. The Aspire team will employ various modalities, including ongoing professional development, to equip your school’s staff with the tools and skills they need for sustained success.

Our coaching programs are tailored to your specific needs in consultation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and we offer the following service options:

Consultation: At this tier, our BCBAs act as expert advisors, working with teachers and staff to develop and implement behavior plans. The BCBA will also support you with training sessions on positive behavior support strategies.

Supervision: BCBAs oversee the work of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other paraprofessionals, ensuring consistent and accurate implementation of behavior plans. They provide observation and feedback, guiding RBTs in their interactions with students and fine-tuning their skills for long-term staff and student success.

Direct Service: BCBAs work directly with students, delivering one-on-one or small group instruction and implementing tailored behavior interventions. They conduct functional behavior assessments to address the root causes of challenging behaviors and design strategies for improvement.
