Your Child is One of a Kind

We look at a child as a whole, and include his or her natural, everyday family environment. We really listen to what the caregivers identify as behaviors and skills that need improvement. We combine what is developmentally appropriate and socially significant for long-term success. Our catered, individualized program is one that takes into account everyone in the patient's life for successful outcomes and gains that make an impact. We value communication and genuine collaboration as they are the key to your child’s progress and well-being.

It’s All About Communication

Your child is the most important aspect of our personalized treatment plans. We create a balance between what is developmentally, ethically and socially appropriate with what you identify as areas of concern. We dedicate time to communicate with you as well as your child’s care team. We work closely with therapists and school administrators on an on-going basis to develop an effective and caring partnership with you and your family. Your child’s health and wellness means everything to us.

Genuine Collaboration

We work where you need us: at school, at home and in the community. Building real world support means our ABA clinicians value the expertise of every member of the team working to care for your child. Whether we’re at school in the IEP process, working directly with you and your family, or in your child’s community, our genuine collaborative culture is what sets us apart. We work with family members and other professionals to ensure consistency of intervention, sharing strategies that promote success across all environments. We become an ongoing and consistent presence wherever you need us.

Your child’s health and wellness means everything to us

We believe that we can be a life-changing presence in your family’s life and we take that task seriously. Each member of our clinical team is experienced and knowledgeable with outstanding credentials but our dedication to your child is what sets us apart. Our clinicians dedicate a lot of facetime with you and your child because we care.

“I like to think that ABA found me. As an 18-year old college student, my work as an ABA therapist was my first job.  I never dreamed that this would be my forever career, but ABA  pulled me back in repeatedly and the reason is simple: The ability to find passion daily in your work is a true gift.  I have had the wonderful opportunity to bring this passion to others in the Chicagoland area and have had the pleasure of working with and for some amazing people. Over the course of my adult life, I have seen the immense good that ABA provides individuals and their families and I will be forever thankful that I found it.”

“I’ve always had a passion for helping others and always knew that I wanted to work with children in some capacity. I never imagined it would be through ABA, as I only first heard of it as an undergrad when I found an ad and started working as an ABA therapist.

Following my undergraduate degree in psychology, I started working as a mental health professional which helped me understand the importance of environmental factors such as culture and family dynamics and that not everything is black and white. Nonetheless, I also realized how important and impactful the science behind ABA was in objectively making a difference in the lives of those I was helping. I was quickly drawn back to behavior analysis, making data-based decisions to help meet the needs of my clients.

Fast forward almost two decades, not only do I get to work with children and have fun doing it, I also have the opportunity to train others to do the same! So what keeps me in ABA? The fact that it is a science and it is effective. I love seeing my clients' progress and more importantly the process of helping improve the quality of life for my clients and their families. Plus I get to do what I love as a bonus. Win, win!”

“What brought me to ABA was my passion for helping and advocating for individuals with disabilities, combined with my interest in the science of human behavior. I find great value in using scientific methodologies and procedures to identify effective interventions related to addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities. The field of ABA gave me the ability to combine both of these passions, and has allowed me to be in a position where I can implement the procedures identified through this science of human behavior to individuals with disabilities to help fill the gaps and work to overcome their delays. Seeing the success this science and its methodology has in addressing the needs of these individuals, and helping them to lead meaningful lives is what keeps me in this field.”

Aimee

I knew for a very long time that I wanted to work with those who have special needs, but I was never exactly sure how I was going to do that until I started my first ABA job out of college. I found myself not only helping make a difference in our clients' everyday lives, but I also found myself experiencing nothing but pure joy as I worked with and got to know our clients. Each child has a very different personality, and ABA has given me multiple tools to help figure out what teaching method will fit their personalities best! This is one of the main reasons I stay in ABA. My #1 interest is the needs of my client, and the science behind ABA allows me to create interventions that will be truly meaningful for my client's everyday life. Along with this, ABA also leaves room for fun—for both my client and myself!

“ABA is a revolution for learning and can open up so many doors to the world around us. It particularly has given me this feeling that leaves me smiling and shaking my head in astonishment of the unbelievable growth a child can make, I can see, and I can measure when applying ABA. The powerful experience of witnessing drastic change for the better in a child (and all people) is what continually keeps me coming back to ABA!”

“While I was attending college, I wanted to get experience working with children. I saw an ad in the paper that mentioned children and ABA. At the time, I didn't know what ABA was, but was interested in finding out more about it. Seeing the progress he made and seeing how helpful ABA was for the entire family, got me very motivated to do whatever I could, to be in this field. I continue to work in this field because I love watching our clients grow! I also really enjoy working with our amazing staff at Aspire. It is such a great experience to work with people who are just as passionate as I am about this field! I am very proud to be a part of this field and will continue to strive to be the best I can be for my clients and the families I help to support!”

Melissa

“I learned about ABA as a classroom teacher. A few years later, while working a weekend job, I was referred to someone looking for a behavior therapist. I interviewed and started working with my first client. That was 14 years ago! ABA is the only scientifically researched and proven therapy that is also approved by the American Pediatric Association, and I can see more growth in my clients in three months than I could in an entire year in the classroom! I appreciate that every day can bring about a change in a client's program. I get to do what I love and have fun while I'm doing it!”
