Morgan Mix, M.S., BCBA
Founder of Aspire Behavioral Therapy and Consulting
Creating a Personalized Approach to ABA Therapy
Morgan Mix is a Chicago-based Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been providing ABA services since 2000 with individualized direct ABA therapy in Chicago and surrounding areas since 2010.
Morgan started her career at Therapeutic Pathways in Modesto, California while still attending college. There, she trained under founders, Jane Howard, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and Colleen Sparkman, M.A. CCC-SLP, who are both prominent figures in the field. This training provided her with the foundation to develop a successful service provision model for ABA Therapy for children.
After moving to the midwest in 2009, Morgan quickly realized that her experience and training in ABA Therapy. in California could be used to create a new and broader type of service provision than currently existed in the Chicagoland area. She began to work on an individualized program, with genuine collaboration, and communication, creating a catered program that successfully incorporates everyone in the child’s life.
“We look at a child as a whole and include his or her natural, everyday family environment. We really listen to what the caregivers identify in behaviors and skills that are needing improvement. We combine what is developmentally appropriate for the child and socially significant, for everyone’s long-term success. My catered, individualized program is one that takes into account everyone in the patient's life for successful outcomes and gains that make an impact.”
Data-Driven, Collaborative Approach to ABA Therapy
Morgan provides in-home ABA therapy services, parent collaboration and training, and is an advocate for parents throughout the IEP process. The Aspire team of BCBAs coordinate their services to work with parents, school administrators, teachers, and other therapists. Services include BCBA supervision with registered behavior technician (RBT’s). She and her team of ABA therapists coordinate with speech-language professionals (SLP), occupational therapists (OT) and physical therapists (PT) to provide data-driven ABA therapy that adjusts to the child’s environment and individual needs. In 2012, Morgan founded Aspire Consulting, Inc. where she treats children in their home, school and clinical settings. Morgan grew up in Illinois and Missouri before moving to northern California during her high school years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. She now resides in Winnetka, IL, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
