All Kids Can Learn
Cicely Lopez is a Chicago-based Certified Behavior Analyst who has been providing individualized direct Applied Behavior Analysis since 2001, who became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016.
Cicely knows that ALL KIDS can learn. Getting to know the family and the child is what sets apart her fun and motivational style. Cicely applies this philosophy to her practice and when training staff. She works with a diverse population of children and young adults and takes into consideration their cultural needs in their individualized care plans.
Cicely has always wanted to help others and early on in her undergrad began working for an in-home ABA agency. She has a behavior-analytic background with experience as a community mental health professional and a psychiatric technician. During these years, Cicely developed best practices using objective data to determine a patient’s progress. She continues to combine these skills and to make a difference in the lives of her patients and families in her practice. Currently she continues her work with a special interest in fluency and attends annually the Precision Teaching ABA Conference.
“Consistency is the key to a successful ABA journey. I believe in a collaborative approach when working with parents and professionals on the child’s care team. It is important to me that we consider what is clinically best for both clients and their families, keeping in mind their lifestyle and learning styles.”
Focused on Communication & Collaboration
Cicely provides in-home ABA therapy services, parent collaboration and training, and is an advocate for parents in IEP meetings. The Aspire team of BCBA’s coordinate their services to work with parents, school administrators, teachers and therapists.
